I have realised that I have neglected to add the monthly update on our antics at the February meeting.
We had a brilliant meeting and a fantastic demonstration from Amy who is the chef/proprietor of the Oak and Glass Restaurant in Weston-super-Mare.
The theme of the evening was edible gifts and Amy wowed us with simple but delightful chocolate creations that could be bagged up and given as gifts for all manner of occasion including Mothering Sunday and, of course, Easter.
We will be adding recipes to the make-log but, as chief taster, I can vouch for their deliciousness (and judging by the contented faces of our members, I think they would all agree!)
Continuing the theme Leanne demonstrated how to make a gift bag, gift box and also how to tart up your edible gifts with some showstopping presentation ideas. Again, all instructions will be added to the make-log and we're also hoping to get some photographs of our creations.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 20th March at the Museum and will feature a talk on container gardening and a demonstration of how to put together fabulous hanging baskets and containers for your garden.
The 30-minute make will actually be a make-a-long and will involve all members in a mega-easter-bonnet-make that should result in some pretty fetching creations (and we'll definitely get some snaps for the blog!)
