A Somerset Evening

Last week it was the turn of WoWWI to host the West Mendip Area Meeting at the museum.
It was packed with food - Cheddar ploughman's of course, music - Weston Brass and ladies, from Kewstoke, Worle, Uphill and Bleadon WI's as well as WoWWI.
After a welcome from Marianne, Shelia Hewish read the minutes from the last annual meeting and spoke briefly about next year's craft competition followed by Jean Simms.
Lots of Somerset food and drink
Whilst a small section of Weston Brass played to us, the ladies helped themselves to a generous buffet accompanied by apple juice or cider.

The musical cake competition was judged - and the winner our own Lindsay with her 'Jerusalem' cake.
The proud winner!

The ladies all had a goody bag to make a spring themed card either at the meeting or to take home with them. Thank-you Annie!

Going Potty

Last Tuesday Craft Club went to The Crafty Teacup Café in Burnham-on-Sea for an evening of decoupage. Inside the pretty café Gill had set out tables full of beautiful things for us to decoupage our terracotta pots, it looked like crafter's heaven!
We had a fabulous evening cutting, gluing, drinking cappuccino , hot chocolate and tea and of course chatting.
Love this unit!
This time we even had a junior section who had their own table and were very creative.
A lovely evening was had by all!
Having a lovely time
